It began in December 2009 as a New Year's Eve party marking 100 years of Futurism, with about 3,000 people. After a break it moved to summer in 2012, teamed up with the Turin sportswear firm Kappa and became what the festival describes as Italy's first daytime summer festival. The site, chosen on the suggestion of Kappa's president, is Parco Dora, a park built on the ruins of old Fiat works, with concrete pillars and skeletal sheds left standing. It runs from noon to midnight, which is an inversion you get used to quickly, and it is a pleasure to be in bed by one. The festival gave 60,000 for 2019 and the 2026 figure was reported at 125,000 across three days from 152 countries. Tier one passes for 2027, the 14th edition, went on sale on 26 October 2026 from 180 euros. The site lists 2 to 4 July 2027. House and techno carry the programme, and Italy has a long and underrated relationship with both.
