Tobias Wendt

Tobias Wendt came up in the Cologne scene of the early 2000s, working in a record shop by day and playing at night. He released on small German imprints for fifteen years before joining GLB.

His first record for the label, "Venloer" (2021), set out the dry, sparse style he has kept on "Deutz" (2023) and on "Rheinufer" (2025), the most melodic of the three. "Bickendorf" is due in 2027. He has also appeared on four of the Round compilations.

He teaches sound design part-time and rarely plays more than twice a month. Dates in recent years include Gewölbe in Cologne, Robert Johnson in Offenbach, Tresor in Berlin, and C12 and Fuse in Brussels.
